Rwanda Announces Public-Sector Financial Accountability Requirements

On 2 November, the government announced a 30-day repayment requirement for public servants responsible for losses of government money or property. The announcement did not specify a financial penalty schedule or a separate compliance contract value. This may create demand for internal audit, legal advisory, financial controls and public-sector compliance services.
