SkyCity Agrees to Sell The Grand Hotel for NZ$221 Million

On 16 October, SkyCity Entertainment Group announced a sale and purchase agreement for The Grand Hotel and its business assets for NZ$221 million. The transaction remains conditional, including on consent from New Zealand’s Overseas Investment Office, and settlement was targeted for mid-December 2026, creating opportunities for transaction advisers, valuation specialists and property investors.
